Sometimes, we all need a change.
Whatever your reason might be, as a foster carer you have the right to transfer to another agency.
Transferring could be right for you if:
We would be delighted to confidentially discuss a transfer to one of our local Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ rated teams where “Staff and foster carers are inspired to embody and implement the best social care practice in their work.” (Ofsted, 2011).
Many of our foster carers have been with us for years, some since we first started in 2002!
Why? Because we know that we need to take care of you, so that you can take care of the children and young people in your care.
At Nexus Fostering, we follow The Fostering Network's Transfer Protocol (2012) which:
"recognises the principles of child care legislation and seeks to ensure that safeguarding the welfare of children is at the core of fostering policy and practice."

We understand that your first consideration will be stability for the children or young people in your care.
In most cases, following a protocol meeting, an agreement can be reached for any children in placement with you to transfer with you, and we will maintain the current terms of the placement. This means you will continue to receive the same level of payment, expenses and services to support the child for the duration of the placement.
If you do not have children in placement, then the process is straightforward.
If you would like to find out more about becoming a carer with Nexus Fostering, simply complete this form and we'll be in touch.
We promise never to speak to your existing agency until you have decided to join Nexus Fostering and have given us your permission to handle the process for you, quickly and easily.
