The foster carers in our Anglia region, which covers Norfolk and Suffolk, are supported by our friendly team of social workers and administrators which are split across our two offices in Norwich and Wymondham. All our social workers are qualified, experienced and registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
As a foster carer, you will receive regular visits, phone calls, email and text contact with your dedicated supervising social worker. The local team will provide you with a responsive 24/7 support line, 365 days a year. Additionally, we have monthly training courses and monthly foster carer support groups.
All the carers and the Nexus Fostering staff work as a team to support the needs of the fostered children and young people.
We are always looking for foster carers in our region, particularly in major cities and towns such as Norwich, Great Yarmouth, Lowestoft, Swaffham, Dereham, Thetford, Diss, North Walsham and Bury St Edmunds.
The children and young people who need foster care have varying requirements. We are interested in all foster carer enquiries, but have a particular shortage of foster carers to support sibling groups, teenagers, parent and child foster placements and children with disabilities. There is a real opportunity for you to make a lasting difference to support these children and young people in your community.
We hold regular information events across the area. Please click here for more details, or pop into our office (address below) between 9 and 5 on a weekday for a chat. We can also be found on Facebook: www.facebook.com/Nexusfostering and on Twitter: @NexusFostering.
Please make your enquiry here by completing our enquiry form. One of our staff will be in touch with you shortly.
We are always happy for you to phone too, no matter which aspect of fostering you wish to discuss.
