Nexus Fostering sponsored local Telford football club Ercall Colts FC for a consecutive year

At Nexus Fostering, being part of our local community is something we truly value. That’s why we were delighted to support the Ercall Colts annual tournament for the second year running as one of the event sponsors.

Held on 16th & 17th August at Charlton Secondary School, the tournament brought together over 100 teams of girls and boys aged 7–14 for a fantastic weekend of grassroots football. We were proud to sponsor two winners’ trophies again this year, with Lisa from our North Midlands team on hand to present them to the victorious teams. It was a brilliant event full of fun, teamwork, and community spirit, and we’re thrilled to play our part.

Why It Matters

Supporting events like this is just one of the ways we stay connected with our local communities. But it also gives us the chance to raise awareness about something urgently needed in Telford and the surrounding areas: more foster carers.

Children of all ages need safe, supportive homes — including teenagers, unaccompanied asylum-seeking children, sibling groups, and parent-and-child placements. Fostering isn’t only about having a spare room; it’s about having the compassion, patience, and commitment to help create positive outcomes for children and young people who need a stable family environment.
