NexFest returns- Celebrating our fostering community in the South West

The Nexus Fostering South West team was thrilled to once again host NexFest, our very own festival-themed celebration in Gloucester, and what a day it was!

Inspired by the spirit of connection that defines Nexus Fostering, NexFest brought together foster carers, children, young people, staff, and extended support networks for a day full of fun, laughter, and community. The event was all about recognising the incredible work of our foster carers and creating space for families to bond, share experiences, and make lasting memories.

Thanks to the generosity of one of our fostering families, we returned to a fantastic local rugby club, offering the perfect open-air venue for a relaxed and joyful day. It was a wonderful opportunity for carers and children from across the region to meet face-to-face, many for the first time, and strengthen the sense of unity across our wider fostering family.

The day was packed with festival vibes:

🎶 A lively Ukele Band who had all the staff joining in
🎨 Face painting, bouncy castles, and outdoor games
🍔 Delicious food and drink
☀️ And of course, the sunshine came out to join us!

Maggie a team member in the South West office, summed it up perfectly:

‘We all really look forward to this date in our calendar and having a chance to spend time quality time with our carers in such a relaxed environment’.

We’re so proud to host events like this that remind us why we do what we do. A huge thank you to everyone who came and helped make NexFest 2025 so special. We can’t wait to do it all again next year!
