At Nexus Fostering, supporting children and families goes beyond our day-to-day work. This winter, our Gloucester office was proud to once again support Gloucestershire Bundles, a local charity providing vital emergency packs to pregnant women and families with children up to the age of 16 who find themselves in crisis situations.

Making a difference when it matters most

Gloucestershire Bundles supplies essential items such as toiletries, clothing, and equipment to families facing incredibly challenging circumstances. At this time of year, the charity also runs its Winter and Christmas Appeal, collecting donations of clothes and toys to help ensure children have something special during the festive season.

Staff from the Gloucester office came together to collect donations, filling the office with generosity and festive spirit. From warm winter clothing to toys ready to be wrapped for Christmas morning, every item donated will help bring comfort and dignity to families when they need it most.

Visiting the warehouse

Lucy and Ant from the Gloucester team recently visited the Gloucestershire Bundles warehouse to personally deliver the donations collected by staff. During their visit, they were able to see first-hand just how busy the team at Gloucestershire Bundles is at this time of year, working tirelessly to prepare and distribute emergency packs to families across the county.

The visit was a powerful reminder of the impact local charities have within our communities, and how important continued support is, especially during the winter months.

A continuing commitment

This year marks the third consecutive year that Nexus Fostering’s South West staff have supported Gloucestershire Bundles’ Winter Appeal. This ongoing commitment reflects our shared values of compassion, community, and support for children and families facing difficult circumstances.

We are incredibly proud of our Gloucester team for their generosity and continued dedication to supporting local initiatives that make a real difference.

We would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Gloucestershire Bundles for the vital work they do every day, and to all our staff who contributed donations. Together, we are helping to support families in our local community and bring a little warmth and kindness during the winter season.

Small acts of kindness can make a big difference, especially at Christmas.
