Five years of fostering

Alison & Adam have been fostering for five years and recently received their celebration gift and a huge congratulations from the team for their continued dedication and commitment to fostering.

The couple reflected on the past five years and shared with us;

Fostering can have immense rewards but can also come with its challenges. Often, children and young people come into foster care due to neglect or abuse, so having a solid support system in place from your fostering agency is vital to helping create positive outcomes for the young people you are taking care of. Nexus Fostering in Hornchurch is looking for more foster carers to join our fostering family and help support children of all ages, including fostering sibling groups, teenagers, parent and child placements, and unaccompanied asylum-seeking children.
