Bhavini’s role at the team administrator for our London team is varied and busy, so you could forgive her for heading home at the end of each working day to put her feet up and watch television, but the reality is so different.
Heathrow Academy is fabulous
“I need to keep my mind active” explains Bhavini. “I’ve always worked alongside bringing up my own family and I’ve always studied. I gained retail experience working in my family business so I secured a role within World Duty Free. Through the Heathrow Academy, I was offered the opportunity to do my NVQ Level 2 and I passed that in 2014. By the time I joined Nexus in 2015, I was in the middle of my NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration and Management and was concerned I would lose financing, but the people at Heathrow Academy were fabulous and continued to fund my course.”
“The whole thing took just a year to complete and it has really helped me in my role with Nexus Fostering. I am so pleased to have passed and enjoyed the graduation ceremony last week.”
“My sons encourage me and are proud of my studying. They want me to continue and achieve even more!”
“We’re extremely proud of Bhavini’s achievements. Balancing home life, work and study takes skill and dedication and that should be celebrated. The photo of her at her graduation is just lovely and we wanted to share her good news with everyone.”
Grace Wyatt, Director, Nexus Fostering.
