We are opening a new office at Doolittle Mill in Ampthill! The official opening will be on Wednesday 2nd October from 12 noon until 3pm, with an awards ceremony at 1pm. We will be presenting awards to four sets of foster carers who have fostered for over 10 years, making a huge contribution to the lives of many young people within the local areas.
We are very excited to expand our service and continue to recruit, train and support foster carers across Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and Northamptonshire, and care for some of the most vulnerable children and young people in the area. That is why we have opened the new local office in order to train and support carers and their families, hold meetings, provide a contact venue for children with their families and hold other events such as drop-ins and family days.
We are always seeking new foster carers for a variety of children and young people, with an experienced and friendly group of social workers, therapists and support workers that closely work alongside their foster carers.
Current Foster Carer Kim says,
“Working for Nexus is like having a different job because we get such great support. The staff at the local office are very friendly and supportive and there’s always someone to chat things through with. I would definitely recommend fostering with Nexus.”
We welcome the public to the open event on October 2nd. For anyone that’s interested in fostering, it’s the perfect chance to visit the office, meet the team and chat about fostering.
Pop by to welcome us to the area at 7 Doolittle Mill, Froghall Road, Ampthill, Bedfordshire, MK45 2ND.
