We are an energetic team of qualified social workers and we are all professionally registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC).
We’re based in the “Central” office on the outskirts of Cambridge in Lolworth and our carers receive a high level of support from us.
The fostering allowance in the Cambridgeshire area varies, depending on a number of circumstances. This could include your exact location and/or the individual needs of the young person you foster, but you can expect to receive in the region of £357 to £819 per week.
We provide a great deal of ongoing support to our foster carers, including regular supervision visits and phone calls. Our staffed “out of hours” help line, means support is available 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Full training and carer support groups take place across the region, either within the Central office or at a venue more convenient and local to you. Further training is also provided “online” which enables our foster carers to undertake these particular courses at a time to suit them.
We are always in need of foster carers so we are actively recruiting within Cambridgeshire and surrounding areas of Bedford, Northampton, Newmarket, Peterborough, King’s Lynn, Wisbech, Ely and Cambridge. We are looking for foster carers for children, young people and young parents who require security, stability and guidance in raising their child. If you feel that you can care for and relate to a looked after child, then you have a real opportunity to make a difference to someone’s life.
Regularly, we hold events on a within the Cambridgeshire area. We welcome people to come along, to ask questions and to find out more about the benefits of becoming a foster carer with Nexus Fostering. Click here for more details about how you can book yourself a place at one of these events.
