Working Pattern: 35 hours per week, 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday-Friday

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Placement Administrator to join the team at Nexus Fostering.  We are looking for an organised and driven individual to join our Core Services team at our Harrow office.

The Role


As Placement Administrator you will provide direct administrative support to the Placement Team. You will also be responsible for providing a professional and approachable point of contact for Foster Carers, Local Authorities, young people and other internal and external members of the organisation.

You will be responsible for undertaking a range of general administration tasks such as producing documents, processing post, filing, photocopying, scanning, and updating Local Authorities with relevant information. You will also be responsible for answering telephone calls in a professional manner, responding appropriately to queries and passing on key information to the team in a timely fashion. You will need to maintain strict confidentiality in all work undertaken and ensure a high standard of customer care is maintained at all times.

As Placement Administrator, you will also be involved in managing information systems and completing data entry tasks where required, to ensure referral information on the database is kept up to date. This includes managing Foster Carer profiles to ensure they are accurate, in order and updated when necessary. The successful candidate will need to be able to understand the referrals process and provide cover when necessary to support the team and the needs of business.

What we’re looking for…

  • Experience of utilising a range of IT programmes and maintaining database systems
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word & Excel
  • Able to work with confidential and sensitive information
  • Able to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing with a wide audience
  • Able to work with a degree of autonomy, in a flexible and creative manner, whilst observing policies and procedures
