Salary: £35,000-42,000 per annum

Bonus: Up to 10% paid annually dependent upon performance

Location: Hybrid working, balanced between home and office

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, to be worked flexibly

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Carer Relationship Manager to join the team at Nexus Fostering.  We are looking for an organised, focused and ambitious individual to join our Core Services team to create and lead effective approaches that enable us to truly connect with our carers. Our carers are a critical part of our success, and we are committed to delivering support and services that they value and that help them provide a fantastic quality of care.  Ultimately, we want our carers to choose to stay with us and recommend us to others.

The Opportunity

The Carer Relationship Manager role is critical as we look to deepen our existing relationships with our Foster Care families.  We pride ourselves on truly listening to our carers and ensuring that we create and keep open lines of communication.  This is how we ensure that we maintain strong relationships, hear what is important to our Foster Carers and find ways to adjust and adapt our services to better meet their needs.

Being able to offer a safe, secure and loving home to a child in need relies on having sufficient quality Foster Carers who know and trust us for the expertise and commitment we bring to each and every child placement.  We are totally committed to ensuring that our Foster Carers stay with us and that we build long and fulfilling relationships based on a shared commitment to do the very best for every child.

As all parents well know, parenting is an amazing privilege, but it is not always easy!  This is equally true for our Foster Carers so the support we deliver is an essential way of helping them deal with the challenges that fostering can present.    As a Carer Relationship Manager your focus will be on ensuring that our services are delivered in ways that mean our carers choose to stay with us for the long term.  This means you will be actively engaged in ensuring that we do all we can possibly do to retain our carers.  You will be proactive, responding quickly to any issues that might lead to our losing a carer and formulating proposals and plans to ensure that we maximise our chances of retention.

This a fantastic opportunity for a qualified Social Worker with experience in Children’s services and foster care delivery who wants to broaden their career whilst retaining a close connection with children and foster families.  

What we’re looking for candidates who…

  • Ideally hold a Social Work qualification but this is not absolutely necessary, can do attitude, and openness to learn is more important
  • Have experience in children’s services and foster care delivery
  • Understand outstanding customer service and are committed to delivering it.
  • Are resilient, self-motivated, self-starters,
  • Are able to interact and communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing in a way that connects with their audience.
  • Have exceptional organisation skills with the ability to work under pressure, and prioritise competing demands
  • Possess the ability to be a strong team player and provide help and support to others.
  • Have natural curiosity and ability to seek alternative solutions that solve problems.
