Location: Covering Norwich, Hornchurch & Anerley

Working Pattern: 37 hours per week, 9.00am - 5.00pm Monday-Friday with on call rota at evenings and weekends

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Regional Operations Manager to join the team at Nexus Fostering.  We are looking for a passionate and dedicated social worker to be based at our Norwich office, to cover Norwich, Hornchurch & Anerley.

The Role

As Regional Operations Manager, you will be part of the Operational Management Team and responsible for promoting and developing the ‘Outstanding’ service that Nexus Fostering provides.

You will be involved in strategic planning alongside the Director and Registered Manager and you will be responsible for providing positive and dynamic leadership to several Area Managers and their local teams.

You will liaise with carers, their families and all children and young people placed in their care, ensuring the delivery of a high quality fostering service, including specialist therapeutic provision and liaison with the clinical team where necessary.

As Regional Operations Manager, you will ensure that staff and carers receive the necessary training and supervision, and that ‘Outstanding’ best practice is strived for at all times.  You will also have responsibility for implementing new developments in legislation and ensuring a prompt and procedurally correct response to all safeguarding matters.

What we’re looking for…

  • Dip SW/CQSW/Social Work Degree and current SWE registration
  • Hold a full UK Driving Licence and have access to a vehicle for work purposes
  • Willing to undertake an enhanced DBS
  • Management and supervisory experience
  • Experience of working to targets and performance indicators
  • Have experience in children’s services and foster care delivery
  • Knowledge of all current childcare legislation and current legislation and regulations governing the delivery of fostering services
  • Willing to participate in an out of hours telephone support system and undertake occasional out of hours/weekend work by attending events, meetings and training
