A letter to my carers

Published on: 2018-01-08 10:00:00

All this started on the 9th of September 2014, I was only at the age of 15 when I found this special family.

A family that made me feel one of their own. So much, that now I love them like they are my real family.

They are so special to me it is unreal; like, one of the important things is that they make me feel loved, comfortable, safe, they respect me and support me. They give me so much support that I don’t think I would be the person I am today without it.

I wouldn’t have made it through college without them. I mean, I have been with them for 2 years and I can honestly say it has been the best two years of my life. We have shared so many memories together with many more to come, like when we went to Holland.

That was so much fun, we did everything, it was such an amazing holiday, a great experience. Then when we came back from holiday, a few months after, we went to Centre Parcs which was such an adventurous holiday. There was so much stuff to do as a family and we did it all.

Roughly five months later we decided to visit again as there was a lot to do, and loads of memories to make. The next holiday we did was to Devon, we went for 2 weeks!

It was a beautiful place to visit and of course my family made it even better by making it fun and enjoyable. I didn’t want to leave the place. There was a lovely beach where we had so much fun and we all played together. Samuel said we dug a hole to Spain.

This year is going to be my 3rd Christmas with you, and every single year you all make it so exciting and the atmosphere is warm from the love of your hearts. When it is Christmas day, and it is time to open our presents and see all our smiling faces together; for me this is the best time of my life because it shows that our family is nothing more than love and care between us all.

So yeah, I can put my hand on my heart and say that the Ephgrave family is the best in the world, and the great thing is that I’m part of it. I’m so proud to be part of such an amazing family; crazy but fun.

So yeah Mum and Dad, I love you with all my heart and you are both such amazing parents. Thank you so much for the support you give me every day and keep me going, also for supporting me through the tough times.

At least I know whenever I’m down or I need love from my close ones, mum and dad are always there. I can relate to you or dad when I need help. You’re both my inspirations to keep going every day. And my little brothers, you are both amazing, even when you are a pain in the backside. I love you both so much, I’m a big proud brother of you both for how quick you both have grown, and how good you both are doing at school.

Especially Samuel, you just started at primary school and you can already read better than I do. You are both so much fun. You made me feel at home straight away. You’re all some special family that God gifted with love and care.

I LOVE YOU SO SO SO SO MUCH GUYS, YOU ALL MEAN SO MUCH TO ME IT IS UNREAL.
