Nexus Fostering was established in London in 2002 by a group of colleagues and carers who felt it was possible to offer a professional and personal service to foster carers, children, young people and local authorities.
Our management and social work teams have extensive experience in children’s social work and family placements, within both the statutory and independent sectors. We work in close partnership with local authorities to identify and meet the needs of their children and provide safe and secure homes for young people.
Our drive is to support the lives of children and young people looked-after and ensure it is as great today as it was when we first evolved.
Since we were established in 2002, we have grown to cover a large area across England. We have managed our growth carefully to make sure that we don't stretch ourselves too thinly so we can continue to provide our foster carers with outstanding levels of support when they really need it.
Nexus Fostering is a well-established fostering agency that was set up and is run by social workers who are deeply committed to exceptionally high-quality placements, leading to the best possible outcomes for children and young people. This has been recognised by our long-standing local authority customers and by Ofsted with a consecutive Outstanding rating.
We have teams across our region who provide the local training and support to small groups of foster carers so each Nexus Fostering team knows the carers and their families as well as the children in their care.
It is important for us to maintain this community feel amongst our colleagues and foster carers and having the regional offices and teams allows us to do that.

We have been fostering with Nexus for nearly 2 years now, we can not praise Nexus enough, the support, training, help & advice or just a shoulder to cry on in times of need is second to none. We have a great team of friendly carers too & we all like to support each other, none of this has changed throughout this pandemic, we are all there for each other more than ever, the staff are on hand 24/7 however big or small your query is, its never too much for them, from top management all the way to admin, we are just one big family. We cannot recommend them enough! They held our hand at the start making sure that the placements we had were right both for us and the children this has led to a long term placement and the children are still with us to this day.
